Loans Are Good!
Written by admin on October 12, 2009
What is your view on loans? Why do they get such a bad reputation? I’ve never understood it. Loans are not the problem people – people are the problem. Take for instance one of my good friends. He was a little short on money so I told him he should go look into some payday loans. He’d never taken a loan but I told him they’re very helpful when you’re in need and he listened…and he went and got his loan. A few weeks later he paid it back with a small bit of interest and life was good. He got his bills paid. He didn’t have to wrack up a bunch of nasty charges or late payments on his credit card and life was good.
People have this impression that you have to pay back some absurd amount of money – you don’t. People don’t realise you’d actually save a lot of money by getting a loan as compared to putting a ton of charges on your credit card so it’s not only beneficial, it’s the smart financial move to make.
Don’t be scared of loans. They are great things. It’s the people that give them a bad name. Just do your research and find one that’s right for you.

A Cruise To Alaska
Written by admin on October 12, 2009
Ha!!! Guess what I’m going to be doing in a few months? If you guessed that I’ll be going on a cruise to Alaska then you deserve a prize!!
I’ve been trying to decide what to do for my annual early spring vacation (and yes, I have one of those…you need to break up the year and work!) and I think I’ve finally decided that I’ll be taking a 14 day cruise to Alaska which will also stop a few places in Canada. I’ve always wanted to visit both so to be able to kill two birds with one stone? I’m totally all for it. And the prices for cruises lately have been really great. I mean, the cruises I was looking at using cruiselocators.com were like less than 90 dollars a day. Seriously, think about that. You can’t even stay in a dirty motel for less than 90 dollars a day. To be able to get free food, entertainment, and lodging on a beautiful luxury ocean liner for that cheap? Sign me up!
I’ll be bringing my girlfriend with me as well…and I’m also thinking about telling my Mom. I know she’d love to go and with the price being so good, it’s just something she can’t pass up.

Looking for Dinnerware
Written by admin on October 12, 2009
Well, I think it’s time for me to get some new dinnerware. I’ve had my current set since I first moved out and that’s going on a good, what, 7 years now? Not to mention, the set I had was handed down to me so it’s not the nicest looking stuff. It has some chips in it…some wear from the dishwasher, you know, the typical stuff that comes with age on poorly made products…haha. Recently, my Mother purchased some Corelle dinnerware which I saw the last time I was over at her place and it was really impressive. I decided I’d check out the type of stuff they had by visiting their website and I was really impressed. I even did a little research to look around for reviews…you know…see what people thought of the quality and the price and everything I saw was a great review which really made me sure they were the right company to be looking at.
Even more impressive were the prices. They were so much lower than competing companies and all the reviews said they have a superior product in terms of quality, so, I think I found myself some new dishes. Now we just need the girlfriend to chime in with what design to get. lol

Learn About Advanced Cardiac Life Support
Written by admin on October 10, 2009
Let me ask you a question – have you ever thought about learning more on advanced cardiac life support? I mean, in all honesty, how many of us actually even know what advanced cardiac life support is? Do you know what to do if somebody around you goes into cardiac arrest? It’s something we never think about (simply because it’s a scary thought) but it does happen, and it happens a lot. Sadly, we as a culture don’t prepare ourselves for that.
With ACLSOnline.com, you can now take an informative and very worthwile class on cardiac life support which will help teach you the correct steps to perform in the situation that somebody does go into cardiac arrest. It’s also an increadibly useful course for anybody that works in a public setting. If you work with the public, especially if you peform a service for them (say maybe a bus driver? A taxi cab driver? A community center?), it’s so worthwhile to know what to do in these types of situations.
Once you’ve taken the short but informative online course (yes, it is ALL online) you can then advance to take the provider certification exam if you so choose. This is also a great way for potential fireman and EMT’s to get supurb training.

Some Holiday Cards
Written by admin on October 8, 2009
I know, I know, some people are gonna think I’m crazy being it’s only October but for me it’s never too early for photo holiday cards. I like to get all of my Chirstmas cards done early and I love the amount of graphics they have at 123print.com. So many places I’ve seen have like no more than 50 stock images and they just look so cheap and ugly. The cards and images at 123print.com look extremely professional and wouldn’t be something I’d be ashamed to send to friends and family. I actually send out Thanksgiving cards and Halloween cards as well. Call me a card freak…but there’s nothing nicer than getting a simple little card in the mail knowing somebody is thinking about you.

Time For A Pressure Washer
Written by admin on October 7, 2009
If you’ve been following the news here recently (or if you live in the area) you know all about the wildfires that we’ve been having. It’s something that happens every year so we get used to it…or at least we deal with it the best we can. One really horrible downside (past the actual fires) would be the soot that just covers EVERYTHING. I’ve got tired of it so this year I’m going to buy myself a pressure washer to remove all of the debree off the house and the sidewalk/patio areas. I’ve been wanting a pressure washer for quite some time so it’s finally time to get one. They’re useful for so many things!

Ever Deleted An E-Mail On Accident?
Written by admin on October 7, 2009
So, the question begs, have you ever lost an e-mail? I mean, sometimes it’s our own fault…we’ll accidentally delete an e-mail that we didn’t mean to. Many times it’s not that big of a deal but what happens when you delete something really important? It happens…more than you know. And I’m telling you this because, guess who lost some very important e-mails today? That’s right…you guessed it.
Now, like I said earlier, it’s not always our fault. What happens if you install a program and your computer goes crazy and you have to do some type of restore? What happens if vital parts in your computer eventually give out? I’ve been the victim of that problem as well. All I’m saying is that it’s really important to be able to have a way to go back and restore those lost e-mails. Currently, within Outlook Express, there is no way to do that. So, today I went and looked around and found PST Repair which can help you restore any lost or deleted e-mails that you might have lost which is a live saving program to me. I deal with a lot of vital e-mail daily and it’s really important that I have a way to save myself incase something goes wrong.

Fixing Up My Iphone
Written by admin on October 7, 2009
Well, I know it’s really nothing to get super happy about since everybody and their brother has one, but today I finally got my brand new Iphone!! I’m so excited. I was thinking about waiting until it potentially went onto the Verizon service but with that over a year away I figured I’d just bite the bullet and get myself a brand new Iphone on a one year contract plan. So, now that I’ve got it, it’s all about fixing it up and customizing it – cause that’s half the fun, right?! At the store earlier today I was looking for some iPhone Accessories but they were a little too pricey for me so I’m gonna go get them on the internet as I can find the same products for much cheaper. I really don’t know why so many people buy their Cell phone accessories in the store when they totally overcharge you. For my past phones, I’ve bought stuff online and I get the same item for like half the price and sometimes even better than that. And most of the time you can get very cheap or even free shipping so, there really aren’t any benefits to not buying your stuff online in my opinion.

A Halloween Hat
Written by admin on October 6, 2009
So I think here in a couple weeks I’m going to go up to Disneyland to check out the Halloween exhibits they do every year and then go to my bosses party – but – I need a costume! Now, important as the overall costume is I really think you need to finish off your costume by buying some costumes hats. I see it every year…people buy a costume, it looks really cool but you just get that sense that it’s missing that final piece. For whatever reason, people just think that once they buy the clothing and the makeup their costume is done but not me. If I’m going to dress up there is no way that I’m not going to get some type of halloween hats to go with my costume.
I’m thinking about being Captain Jack Sparrow this year but all of the hats I’ve seen in stores are so cheap and cheesy looking so I’m looking for an authentic, well made, serious pirate hat to finish off my costume. As as important as my outfit is, I’d just look really silly walking around in a Captain Jack Sparrow outfit with no hat right? At least I think so, so, now it’s off to find the perfect hat!

Coupon Codes For A Computer
Written by admin on October 6, 2009
I’ve been saving some money for a while and I think I’m finally going to buckle down and get a laptop. Now, I don’t really need one…it’s more of a want. For years I’ve used this desktop but so many times I’ve thought to myself, “if only I had a laptop”. It would be so nice to have the ability to carry it around to work or to the field or just take it outfront and watch some TV while I do some work, not be stuck at the desktop.
As I’ve been doing some research I’ve been torn on a few computers but I did recenlty find a Lenovo Coupon which gives me a great deal. I also found a really good deal on a Dell computer as well with some Dell Coupon Codes I found so I’m still not sure which way I want to go. With that said though, these coupons are a little live safer! They’re going to save me a good 50 to 75 bucks easy, if not more. If you look around on the net you can always find some coupons to help you save a good amount of money. I have saved so much over the years looking for online coupons.
