Fire Extinguisher Saves Me

Living alone like I do, one thing that always worries me is a fire. You just never know what can happen…and it might not even be your fault. For example, a few months ago I was watching TV in my bedroom early in the evening and walked out to the kitchen to get a bite to eat. As I look outside in the backyard, I see smoke…and it looks like it’s coming from the side of the house. I rush outside and sure enough, one of the compost bags on the side of the house burst and caught fire (I kid you not). Thankfully I had a powder fire extinguisher just a few feet inside, but if I didn’t, can you imagine what could have happened? Something so simple as a fire extinguisher saved my house and maybe more than that. So, my point is, make sure you take the smart route and be safe. Things happen all the time…things out of your control. Make sure you have all the proper equipment which includes a fire alarm as well as a fire extinguisher. It’s much better to be safe than sorry…especially when it’s something so simple that can save so much.
