Rains Close Public Fields

Written by admin on December 14, 2009

Due to heavy rains over the weekend, all public fields in Murrieta will be closed through Wednesday.

The city’s Community Services Department announced the field closure Monday and said if the weather permits, the fields will be reopened Thursday. The lights on the fields will remain off until the fields are reopened, the city announced.

City officials warned that any team found using a field during the closure could be cited.

Smells Like Playoffs!!

Written by admin on December 14, 2009

Win at home Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals and the San Diego Chargers are in the playoffs for the fourth straight season.

That’s as simple as Philip Rivers wants to keep it. He knows the Chargers can also clinch their fourth straight AFC West title and a first-round bye, although those scenarios involve other teams.

The Chargers improved to 10-3 with Sunday’s 20-17 win at Dallas, their eighth straight win.

San Diego has a two-game lead in the AFC West over the Denver Broncos. To clinch a first-round bye, the Chargers must beat Cincinnati and have Denver lose or tie against Oakland and the New England Patriots lose or tie at Buffalo.

Cincinnati is 9-4 after a 30-10 loss to the Minnesota Vikings.

Blowout Video Catches Fire

Written by admin on December 14, 2009

Damage from a fire Sunday night that destroyed the corporate offices for Déjà Vu/Showgirls and Blow Out Video have been estimated at $3 million.

The fire started in the attic of the two-story building but its cause cannot be determined because the building has been declared structurally unsound and firefighters cannot enter it, said San Diego Fire-Rescue Department spokesman Lee Swanson.

About 45 firefighters responded to the fire, which was reported about 9:30 Sunday night. It was put out about 3 a.m., but fire crews remained on hand through the morning to make sure it didn’t reignite.

On the bright side? You can keep your movies a little longer without rental fees. haha

Put The Raincoats Away

Written by admin on December 14, 2009

And now, for something completely different.

After the rainiest week in a year, the county should get an extended dry, sunny period, according to the National Weather Service.

The storm track has shifted north. A storm passing through Central California may bring some unproductive high clouds to the region Wednesday, but that’s about it for the week.

Hopefully (although some will disagree) we’ll have a wet Christmas…since we can’t have a white one here. lol

Christmas Gift For The Girlfriend

Written by admin on December 14, 2009

This year I’ve decided I’m going to make my girlfriend a cute little stocking and I need some stuffers for it. I’ve got her some makeup as well as some gift cards…but I need something else. I was thinking about some sexy panties to put into the stocking as well. She loves those!

Thinking Of A New Bed

Written by admin on December 14, 2009

So, last night as I was watching TV…I noticed something. I need a new bed. Heh. Seriously though…it’s starting to hurt my back. I’ve had the thing since I was in high school soooo, it’s time to get a new one. I’ve been looking through reviews and one thing I’ve taken a high interest in is a murphy bed. They have this really interesting bed that keeps attracting my eyes, that I’ve pictured below. I love how you can hide it away. Beds always look so…clunky, so, to be able to slide it away and have it look like it’s not even there? That’s so awesome. Add in that they never use particle board like so many other companies and they’ll ship it free? It’s a stinkin good deal!

Throwing A Christmas Party

Written by admin on December 14, 2009

So, I’m not sure how it came about, but last week at work we decided we’d have our own Christmas party. We do have the standard Christmas company party, but really, that’s no party at all. It’s a bunch of people in ties and suits, looking bored out of their mind and everybody has to talk about work. I’m sorry, but, what fun is that? Anyway, back on topic…I guess cause I brought up the idea of having a Christmas party, it’s my party to plan. Isn’t that fun? hah. Anyway, I really don’t even know where to start. I’ve been looking for holiday party ideas and I’ve found a few things that will make the party pretty fun I think, but, I still need a few more things. Hopefully everybody will be nice and chip in so not only do I have to go through the work of planning it, but paying for it as well.

Gambling With Gramps

Written by admin on December 11, 2009

Ha, sounds like a new TV Show eh? Well, I’m going to be seeing my Grandfather this Christmas holiday and he just lives to gamble, so, I’m thinking I’ll teach him about the best online roulette games on the web. I just need to make sure he doesn’t figure out how to beat me….haha

Traveling For The Holidays

Written by admin on December 11, 2009

Well, it looks like I’ll be spending my fair share of time in some airports during this holiday season but I’ll still need to work, so, I need to find something for my laptop and paperwork. I’ve been looking at a lovely Leather Briefcase since this morning that I’m thinking about buying. I just want something nice…you know? I’m tired of lugging around an ugly and bulky backpack.

Backup Your Info! NOW!

Written by admin on December 11, 2009

For those of you that know me, it’s a well known fact that I do a lot of (if not all of) my work on the computer. It’s almost become attached to my body. If I’m not working on my desktop, I’m working on my laptop. However, in the past, I’ve had my fair share of problems. I spend all this money to get the best of the best you know? And it still never works. I’ve bought myself extra external hard drives to store my work information only to have them fail. I’ve bought warranties, but, what good are those if you can’t get your data back? They just send you a check. Well, gee…thanks. So, I’ve turned to Online Backup and my favorite of those would be IDrive.com. I really love how professional their service is as well as their customer service if I need any time of assistance. Not only can you backup your PC, but, you can do the same for your Mac….and even your IPhone and Blackberry. Yep! You heard right! No more worrying about losing your phone data…be it music…games…or even your really important contacts list. It’s all saved for you…and securely I might add. It’s really just an awesome service that I have to recommend to anybody who uses a computer or smartphone.
