A naked man high on drugs was taken into custody early Friday morning in the College Area after he assaulted his roommate with a bottle and then tried to set their house on fire, according to San Diego police.
Police said the suspect “violently resisted officers” and was subdued with a Taser and bit by a police dog.
The roommate ran out of the house and called the police, who set up a perimeter around the house. The suspect then turned on the gas oven and set the house on fire. The incident was reported at 2:15 a.m. and took place on La Dorna Street, near Montezuma Road.
