Cause the rain is a comin!!

Approaching rain should make for a wet weekend, but it should be no match for last month’s wild storms, according to the National Weather Service.

Light rain could begin as early as this afternoon. Heavier downpours, which might include thunderstorms, should arrive late tonight and early tomorrow. Showers could linger through Sunday morning.

Rainfall totals are expected to range from about three-quarters of an inch at the coast to 1¾ inches in the mountains. The snow level should be too high to affect San Diego County mountains until late tomorrow, when it is forecast to fall to about 5,000 feet.
