Just a word of warning – Police have released a composite sketch of a man suspected of trying to abduct a 14-year-old girl as she walked home from Lincoln Middle School in Oceanside on Wednesday.
The suspect followed the girl and pulled up alongside her in his vehicle, police said. The man reportedly told the girl to “get in the car.” Police said the suspect drove onto the curb on Oceanside Boulevard near Camelot Drive ahead of the girl and blocked her path.
In fear, the girl ran in the opposite direction and the suspect fled.
The suspect is described as a black man, 40 to 45 years old, thin build, short black hair and with lots of facial wrinkles. He was wearing a dark-blue T-shirt and black sunglasses, according to the victim.
Anyone with information on this case is asked to call Detective Josh Morris at 760-435-4905.
