Local Plane Crashes In Mexico

Written by admin on September 27, 2010

The fate of four people aboard a plane that crashed in Baja California remains unknown.

According to the FAA, the plane took off Saturday from San Diego and was headed to Los Cabos, en route to Argentina.

A Mexican military helicopter spotted the wreckage in the mountains near Cabo San Lucas.

Rescuers attempted to reach the crash site yesterday—no word yet on what they may have found.

The FAA website shows Douglas Baker of Ukiah, California is the plane’s registered owner, but officials believe Baker may have recently sold it.

I was trying to figure out where exactly the plane left from…my best guess is Brown field, but, I’m not sure on that. Looks to small to have left from LIA.

I HATE This Weather!1111!!!!

Written by admin on September 27, 2010

Boy, it was hot this weekend.

And there’s a good chance it could get hotter on tomorrow according to the news.

Much of San Diego County experienced temperatures 20 degrees above normal on Sunday and there won’t be any relief at least until Tuesday.

Borrego Springs (109), Ramona (105), El Cajon (105) and Campo (100) recorded their hottest temperatures on record for a Sept. 26. Lindbergh Field, where San Diego’s official weather is recorded, reached a high of 88 degrees. The record for the day is 111 some 47 years ago.

Somebody get me an ice bucket, quickly.

What Do You Buy…

Written by admin on September 27, 2010

Okay, so I’m in the market for some Unique Gifts. I need to get a housewarming present for one of my friends (which shouldn’t be too difficult) but the other gift I need is for a 5 year old whom I know little about. It’s a birthday gift, so, it’s nothing too big…but I have no clue what kind of toy the kid likes. And I don’t think he’ll like the stick and rock I played with when I was 5….haha

I’m A Tech Geek

Written by admin on September 27, 2010

I’m a tech freak. I fully admit it. I’m always looking on the internet for technology websites that deliver me new and up to date mobile industry news. Of my tech love, I’d say the wireless industry is the one I love the most. It’s so innovative and the amount of technology it drives and delivers is amazing, at least to me. Being able to access it from my home/laptop or my mobile phone is also awesome. I spend a lot of time waiting on other people, so, I always have a few minutes to spare waiting…etc…so I love being able to get my tech and wireless communication news like that.

The Tales Of A Cocky Landscaper

Written by admin on September 15, 2010

Lol, so I’m talking to this guy about fixing up some stuff in the backyard yesterday afternoon. I really wasn’t a big fan of his personality, he just seemed cocky. But, at least he was put together well – or so I thought. I could tell that I wasn’t going to be using him simply off his personality alone, but, as he was leaving he gave me the most hilarious busines card I had ever seen. He titled himself as CEO/Owner/KING of his company. I looked at it twice,  making sure I saw what I did…

Seriously, how in the world would this guy stay in business? Amazing.

Nothing In Life Is Free? That’s A Lie

Written by admin on September 7, 2010

You know the old saying, “nothing in life is free”…? Well, normally I’d agree with that. But not right now. lol.

I just got a e-mail from a friend of mine telling me about these free business cards he just snagged. He knows I’m in the market for some business cards so being the nice guy he is, he dropped me a note. I checked out the link and they’re totally legit and free, which makes me a happy guy. It makes me even happier to know that a few days ago I went to a local store to ask about prices and they wanted to charge me an arm and a leg, but now I can get them for free. Good news for me!

Time For New Blinds

Written by admin on September 7, 2010

So, I’ve been stuck with these junky “metal” blinds now for a few years. The one thing that really bugs me about them (other than the awful look) is the amount of heat they bring in. It’s like being in a sauna if you stand next to the things. So, I started looking for some blinds that reduce heat. Obviously, the best choice I could find were some Wooden blinds. By no stretch are they going to be miracle workers in this regard, but, my Mother has some wooden blinds and she says there is a noticeable difference in the heat distributed off them, so, I’m all in baby.

A Facebook For Women?

Written by admin on September 7, 2010

So my Mother is a big user of social networking sites, but, she’s always expressed to me how nice it would be to have a social networking site that’s more or less for women only. So, being the wonderful son I am, I started looking around and came across Pinkcycle.com which is essentially a Facebook for Women. It doesn’t launch until October 1st, but, you really should check it out. It’s a lot like facebook (except for women only) and they’ll have a variety of cool things happening like prize giveaways and more. It’ll focus on a lot of popular topics that women are into such as family advice, home life, finances, etc…so check it out.
