Making Invites For My Xmas Party
Written by admin on November 22, 2010
It’s that time of the year again and I just love it. Say what you will – yes, the holidays can be stressful, but, it’s all about how you approach them. For example, I need to make some invites for my Xmas party. So I could spend a few hours writing them out by hand OR I could just do some email save the date cards, as I like to call them. No need for me to mail out 50 0r 100 letters, get the stamps for them, take them to the post office, etc. All I need to do is write an e-mail, add some music and graphics to it (how cool is that?), press send and ta-da! All done. Doesn’t get much simpler than that, does it?!

Throwing A Holiday Party!
Written by admin on November 15, 2010
So this year I’ll be throwing my first ever holiday party. I’ve taken part in a few before, but, never threw my own. I’ve got pretty much everything set up except for the invites. Which, I know, seems somewhat backwards but I’m always one to do things quickly. Anyway, I’m in the process of setting up some holiday party reminder cards that I’ll send out to all my invitees. I think it’ll be a nice way to not only invite them but also make sure they remember. Telling them in person, you know, things get missed…forgotten about, etc, etc. This should make for a more active party.

Hip Recall?
Written by admin on October 29, 2010
So the phone rang yesterday morning and it was my Grandmother. She told me she was watching the news and saw something about a depuy hip recall and being she doesn’t have any internet, she wanted to call me and have me look into it. So, being the nice grandson that I am, I did just that and got her the info she wanted. She actually doesn’t have any hip issues, it’s my Great Grandmother who this could effect and you know if my Grandmother doesn’t have the internet, my Great Grandmother surely doesn’t! hah
Anyway, it was a good thing I checked on this…I’m sure it’ll give both my Grandmother and Great Grandmother a better piece of mind knowing what they wanted to know.

Finding A Good Blog Host
Written by admin on October 29, 2010
There is nothing like an important blog host. I don’t know why, but, so many bloggers skimp out on this and I can’t figure it out. So many times I get an e-mail telling me to visit a particular blog or just find one during my daily surfing of the net and the blog is down. And not only is it down, but, it’s down for quite some time. Why don’t people buy premier and high quality blog hosting? You invest all of this time…all of this energy into making a good blog and then it goes down for hours every week or so…I just don’t understand it. I guess I’m a little sensitive to the subject since when I first started out blogging, I wasn’t very aware. I just picked some random host and ran with it. I couldn’t figure out why my blog had so many issues. Too much traffic? It would shut down. Some odd thing I installed on my blog, the hosting company would shut it down. It was insane. So, take your time and find a good blog host. It’ll be worth it.

I HATE This Weather!1111!!!!
Written by admin on September 27, 2010
Boy, it was hot this weekend.
And there’s a good chance it could get hotter on tomorrow according to the news.
Much of San Diego County experienced temperatures 20 degrees above normal on Sunday and there won’t be any relief at least until Tuesday.
Borrego Springs (109), Ramona (105), El Cajon (105) and Campo (100) recorded their hottest temperatures on record for a Sept. 26. Lindbergh Field, where San Diego’s official weather is recorded, reached a high of 88 degrees. The record for the day is 111 some 47 years ago.
Somebody get me an ice bucket, quickly.

The Tales Of A Cocky Landscaper
Written by admin on September 15, 2010
Lol, so I’m talking to this guy about fixing up some stuff in the backyard yesterday afternoon. I really wasn’t a big fan of his personality, he just seemed cocky. But, at least he was put together well – or so I thought. I could tell that I wasn’t going to be using him simply off his personality alone, but, as he was leaving he gave me the most hilarious busines card I had ever seen. He titled himself as CEO/Owner/KING of his company. I looked at it twice, making sure I saw what I did…
Seriously, how in the world would this guy stay in business? Amazing.

Rain To Continue Through Today
Written by admin on January 22, 2010
Rain will continue throughout the day Friday, but it will not be as intense as it was earlier this week, according to the National Weather Service.
There will be scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms throughout the region, forecasters say. Up to an inch of rain is possible along the coast and up to three inches in the mountains. A flash flood watch is in effect for areas below 4,500 feet through this afternoon.
More rain is expected Friday night.
Temperatures will remain on the cool side with highs in the upper 50s along the coast, low to mid-50s inland and mid-40s in the mountains.
Arson At SeaWorld? You Heard Right
Written by admin on January 1, 2010
Fire officials said arson is to blame for a fire on the SeaWorld fireworks barge anchored in Mission Bay early Friday.
The fire occurred approximately four hours after a New Year’s fireworks show at SeaWorld.
No one was injured in the fire, which caused about $15,000 in damage, said Maurice Luque, spokesman for San Diego Fire-Rescue.
Officials have not released any suspect information.
Fire was reported on the barge at about 1:20 a.m. It is anchored about 300 yards from the South Shores boat launch, close to SeaWorld and Fiesta Island.
No one was on the barge at the time of the fire and there were no fireworks stored on the ship, according to Luque.
The blaze was contained within 20 minutes of the firefighters arrival.
I don’t get people – on a holiday weekend…setting fire to a theme park. REALLLY SMART. :\
Traveling To Italy
Written by admin on December 23, 2009
In a few months I’ll be traveling to Italy for business – it’ll be my first time there (though I have been to Europe), so, while I have a little idea of what to expect…I really don’t know my way around the country at all. I was talking to my friend who had been there before and he told me that without a doubt, I need to look inyo Car Hire Italy to travel around. I usually do get a car hire if I’m in a bit city that I’m not too familiar with, so, I have to agree it’s a good idea. Plus, can you image me driving on the other side of the road? I have a difficult time enough as it is right now!!! haha

14th Annual Blessing At Mission SLR
Written by admin on October 4, 2009
The Mission San Luis Rey Parish honored its patron saint, Francis of Assisi, with an animal blessing and fair Saturday, the 800th anniversary since St. Francis established a new order of friars minor in 1209.
This was the parish’s 14th annual St. Francis Day celebration
After parading through the grounds of the parish, proud pet owners formed lines that stretched around the courtyard for a blessing of their animals.
Young and old carried the furry, the feathered and even the scaly to the Rev. Charles Talley for a sprinkle of holy water and a hushed prayer.
Most of the 200 or so blessed pets were dogs, but there were also a few cats, parakeets, chinchillas, gerbils, hamsters and a salamander.
I thought it was pretty cool! Kinda wild living next to such a big part of history.
