Looking Into Florida Retirement Communities
Written by admin on March 24, 2011
Okay – by the title, you might think I hit my head a bit…haha.
In all seriousness though, I am very much looking into Florida retirement communities but not for myself, rather for my mother. I’ve mentioned before that I’ve become very interested in moving to Florida down the road. It’s not something that’s going to happen in the next six months or so but I wouldn’t be shocked to see things start happening in a year or two. Anyway, back to my point. If I go, my Mother will be coming with and when we go – I’d like to find her a very nice and well reviewed retirement community.
I know TONS of people move to Florida when they retire, and while I wont be retired, my Mother will and I want to get her settled in at a lovely community. I’ve been doing research online the last few weeks and I’ve found a few that I think I’ve narrowed it down to – now I just need to let her see them and see which she thinks she’ll enjoy. Of course, we’ll take a trip before hand to get a first hand impression – but for now, I just want an idea of what she’d like.

Why Not Enter A Vacation Sweepstakes?
Written by admin on March 17, 2011
Okay – I admit it. I’m a giveaway freak. Seriously, I sign up for everything!! And honestly, you’d be shocked how much you win. Sure, many times it’s just a small prize but hey – a small prize is better than no prize, right? And frankly, sometimes, there is a big prize out there with your name on it – say like a vacation sweepstakes. I always see people, especially my friends, give the “oh, I’m not ever going to win that” mentality and I just sit there and shake my head in disbelief. No, you’re right- you wont ever win it – because you didn’t enter!! Or they enter one or two things and when they don’t win, they get discouraged. I don’t understand it.
For me, I love enterting for vacation sweepstakes and contests because it’s SUCH a great prize to win. Vacations are really expensive when you think about it – room and board, food, travel, etc etc – I’d much rather have somebody else pay for all or most of that, wouldn’t you!?
I admit, I do enter a lot of contests and sweepstakes but none more than vacations – they’re the best bang for your value (or time, if you will) and I’ve already won a few. You just need to take the time to do them!

Baby Boomers Music And More
Written by admin on March 17, 2011
I love music. I really, really, really do. To be honest, I’m not sure what I’d without it. It’s something that can make you happy, make you sad, make you inspired, make you angry. I don’t think there is anything like music that can change a mood with such viger. Now obviously, most people use music to alter their mood in a positive way and for my Parents, nothing does that more than baby boomers music. I mean, music is timeless, don’t you agree? And for them, this brings them back to the good ol’ days, if you will. And I’m sure when I’m their age, I’ll be looking back at my generations music and feeling the same way.
To me, music is music – if it’s good, it’s good. I don’t really try to keep myself in a box when it comes to music, so, I actually like the whole “baby boomers” music generation a lot. I’m also a big fan of my grandparents musical tastes as well along with my own which is filled up with artists from Snoop Dogg, to Garth Brooks, to Lady A.
Music is music – it’s timeless. And it can really put a smile in ones memory and on their face.

Looking For New Homes In Florida?
Written by admin on March 17, 2011
You know, it seems like Florida is the it place – right? Talk to anybody, if they ever have any intentions of moving, it always seems like Florida is topping their list. So, I guess I shouldn’t be any different, right? Seriously though – great weather, great place, everything centrally located – it’s hard to find a better place, at least in my opinion.
I love the lack of state taxes as well, especially after living in California so long where I get taxed on my sneezes. Seriously, it’s awful. Florida is pretty much a better California, in my mind.
I know I wont be moving for a while, but, when the time comes I’m going to be looking into Florida for sure. Builders have been going crazy lately with all of the new Florida homes being built. I actually went online just to look and was stunned at just how beautiful most of the new developments are. And the prices? Goodness! They’re so cheap compared to many of the areas around here, I was floored at how beautiful the areas were and how cheap the homes were – and these are pretty good sized homes, at least 2,000 square feet. Makes me feel stupid living in California. lol

Translation Services
Written by admin on March 17, 2011
Being in my mid 20’s, I got to see the evolution of the internet. I remember being a a young kid and the internet was just starting to take off – and now? My goodness. It’s become THE information highway, not to mention, I think it’s starting to overtake TV as the entertainment medium. Speaking of, I’ve been an online game player since I can remember. It’s so cool to be able to play with random people. I mean, I’ve played with people all across the world – Japan, Iceland, Germany, Ireland, etc. The one problem I’ve run into though is the language barrier. Sometimes in these games you need to communicate, especially if you play in some tactical style game – the language barrier tends to create some problems with that. So, I’ve been thinking that looking into some type of translation services would be a benefit to me (and my fellow gamers). The one place I was really impressed with was GTH Translation which seems to be an innovator in this future endeavor. I think the ability to have online games (and just about anything internet involved) with near instant translation would be life changing in terms of how the internet works.

I Love Organic Olive Oil
Written by admin on March 17, 2011
Okay – I like to cook. And when I say that, I mean, I like to cook everything – I’m not just the typical “grilling” type of guy. Get me in the kitchen and I’m a hurricane! I’m whipping up anything you can think of and I’m usually doing it with my favorite ingrident, organic olive oil. Now, for those of you who know me or follow me, you’re fully aware of my love for all things organic, so being able to use organic olive oil makes me a happy chef. And a happy chef means a happy kitchen, am I right?
In all seriousness though, organic stuff is great. That’s not to diminish non-organic olive oil – it’s fantastic as well. But my personal preference is organic, that’s all. Anyway, back on topic. Is there ANY oil better to cook with than olive oil? I can’t think of one. It’s EXTREMELY healthy for you, unlike most other oils out there, and it cooks at such a fantastic temperature. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve overdone something or flat out burnt it using a different oil, say like peanut? And I don’t know about you, but I’m really aware to tastes depending on what type of oil is used. With peanut oil, you really get that nutty flavor – no thank you. Not to mention, unlike peanut and veggie, most people aren’t going to run into allergic reactions with organic olive oil – it’s by far the safest of the popular oils. No need to worry about that polyunsaturated fat as it totally helps cholesterol. In fact, because of that, I ‘d say it makes a great gift. It tastes good and helps the system work – a healthy, tasty, smart gift. So if any of my readers ever want to send me a gift…………haha

Looking For A Passerelle Or Gangways?
Written by admin on March 10, 2011
You know, as I mentioned before, I live in a pretty cool place – it’s all centrally located and here in Sun Diego, we have one of the biggest military and boating presences on the planet. So, I thought it was pretty awesome I stumbled upon umtmarine.com and a passerelle, otherwise known as gangways. These bad boys come in a variety of styles (pretty much anyway you’d like it). I love how you can personalize them as well! How cool is that? Really though, the best thing to me is the way they look. So many times I’ve seen them look so, ugly – to be blunt about it. They don’t fit the boat correctly – they look ugly – overall, just a real big eye sore…but not these. They’re totally astetically pleasing, at least I think so. I don’t have my own boat yet, though I am planning to get one down the road and when I do – you can bet your bottom dollar I’ll be picking up one of these gangways!
I mean, if you’re gonna do it – do it right. That’s what my Momma always said…haha.

Thinking Of Hair Restoration Transplant
Written by admin on March 10, 2011
Ugh – bad news everybody. I’m getting old. Okay, well, maybe not OLD but I’m starting to see some changes going on. My Dad started losing his hair big time when he was in his late twenty’s, so, I guess I’m doing decent at least since I still have some hair – right?! haha
Seriously though, lately I’ve been thinking about hair restoration transplant. A few guys I know have done it and they all love it and highly recommend it, so, it’s been on my mind lately. Unfortunately though, I don’t know too much about it so I’ve been looking around the net trying to find info on it, see if it’s the right thing for me, etc etc – all that good stuff. Yesterday I went to hairrestorationtransplant.com and they seemed to have the most up to date and informative articles I’ve came across yet – it was quite helpful, though I fully admit I’m still on the fence about it all. Not because of the lack of info – I think I’ve got that covered for now, but, I just don’t know if I want to do it…yet. I think it might be an option down the road, but, right now? I’m torn. For those of you that know me, what do you think? Be honest now. haha

Big Fan Of Motorsport?
Written by admin on March 10, 2011
Living where I do, I have a lot of perks. If I want to go to the beach? It’s about a five minute drive. If I want to go to the mountains? I hop in the car and in about an hour I’m there – and most importantly, the desert. If I’m in the mode to go ride, I can be at the desert in about – oh, an hour and a half. Being centrally located is awesome, especially when you’re into as many activities as I am.
Anyway, speaking of activities – I love to drive out to the desert and ride my motor bike. I’ve done it since I was a kid – so, it’s been a hobby of mine for ages. Sadly though, I don’t get the time to do it like I used to although I’m doing my best to change that up. Recently I came across Championmotorsport.com which has some of the best prices I’ve ever seen on motorsport products. Depending on where you go, you can pay a lot more money than you really need to – so I’m always on the lookout for a deal and they certainly have quite a few. I think I found my new motorsport shopping headquarters.

Love To Write? Is AWAI A Scam?
Written by admin on March 10, 2011
I love to write – a lot. I really should have tried to do it for a living. Ever since I can remember, I’ve always held a special place in my heart for writing. And now with the advacement on the web from blogs, etc, it’s really become easy to do and also easy to get noticed. Though, I will say – beyond my passion for writing for fun, I also like to make money doing it – if possible. So to that point, a few days ago I heard about AWAI. I wasn’t sure what it was at first and when I asked a few people, I got quite a few mixed responses. I wasn’t sure what to do – I was thinking to myself, “is AWAI a scam“? – Short answer? NOPE! haha
AWAI is a great program that helps people who love to write to earn a living doing what they love to do. It’s my kinda thing. So, if you’re like me and you love to write and could use some extra change in your pocket, I say sign up. Don’t like it? Don’t do it – but trust me, you’ll love it. There isn’t much better than doing what you love AND getting paid for it – am I right?!
