The more you want to change your family, the more it becomes toxic.
Show them how to do things the right way. Then let them learn their way.
Don’t force. Don’t castigate.
If they don’t do it, or if they attempted but failed, accept whatever it is.
But don’t forget to set clear boundaries between you and them.
After all, you have to protect your peace. And they have to protect their peace, too.
Don’t tolerate unethical actions. Warn them once.
If they don’t stop, then life will teach them. Let them learn their lesson.
